Gemma began her flute studies in her home city of Monzon. Later she continued her studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Zaragoza, The Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Kersten McCall (Concertgebouw Orchestra) and at the Utrecht Conservatory with Aldo Baerten (Royal Flemish Philharmonic).
She was a winner of the Ibercaja Concours, leading to solo recitals throughout Spain. Gemma has performed with orchestras and ensembles including Modelo62, Asko Schoenberg ensemble, Nieuwe Philharmonie Utrecht, Laurensorkest Rotterdam, Koninklijk conservatorium Orkest Den Haag, Camerata Terra Reno, Nederlands Fluit Orchestra and Ensemble XXI.
Recordings include the Cds “Niebla”, “El bosque encantado” and “Leyenda Iralndesa” with the chamber music group Ensemble XXI, “Modelo Moves” with the contemporary ensemble Modelo62 and Chants de L’Uruguay by Alfonso Broqua.
