Oboe

Matteo Costanzi started to study oboe when he was 8 at the Music school in Spoleto. In 2007 he got his diploma
in oboe with the maximum grade at the conservatory “Briccialdi” in Terni. From 2008 to 2010 he studied
in Florence with Thomas Indermuhle and in 2012 he got the Master degree at the Hogeschool van der Kunsten in Utrecht with the teacher Ernest Rombout. He later studied baroque oboe with Frank de Bruine.
Matteo Costanzi collaborated with several orchestras in Italy and in the Netherlands, like the Radio Filharmonisch Orkest, the Koninklijk Militaire Kapel JWF, the Orkest van de Nederlandse Douane, the Orchestra della Regione Toscana, and he worked with important conductors and musicians like Michael Chance, Gianandrea Noseda, John Axelrod, Herbie Hancock and Lang Lang.

Next is very active in the chamber music, he regularly performs in duo with piano, with the Quatriola Ensemble, with the Insomnio Ensemble and in chamber orchestras, performing repertoire that goes from baroque music to contemporary music.
